Schiphol train station is located right underneath the airport (which is handy) and is clearly signposted when you leave Arrivals. From here, the Dutch National Rail service‚ "Nederlandse Spoorwegen"‚ (NS) runs train services that take you directly to Amsterdam Central Station in around 25 mins.

Around 5 trains an hour run from the airport to Amsterdam Central station throughout the day. At night, from 1am to 4am, the trains are once an hour and run from Utrecht CS to Amsterdam CS - Schiphol Airport - Leiden CS - The Hague CS - Delft and Rotterdam CS and back, not stopping at smaller stations in between (CS stands for Central Station, in case you were wondering).

You can buy train tickets from the ticket office in the main hall of the station or from yellow ticket machines near Baggage Claim, in Schiphol Plaza shopping centre and on the station platforms. The machines accept cash, debit and credit cards and, rather nicely, it‚'s cheaper to buy your tickets from them than from the ticket office. For more information visit www.ns.nl

From Amsterdam Central Station (or CS, remember) you can hop on a Tram 5 or Tram 16. Get off at the Concertgebouw stop for the hotel.

The taxi rank is just outside the airport. Depending on the traffic and the caffeine intake of your driver, it takes around half an hour to get to the hotel. By the way, we can arrange taxis to and from the airport for you at a discounted rate of €32.50, one-way. If there's a whole bunch of you and you want a mini van it'll cost €42.50. You can pay for the taxi at the hotel, please ask us for details.

This mini bus service takes you to and from the airport direct to a number of hotels all over Amsterdam including our hotel, Museum Square. The Shuttle leaves the airport every 10 mins from platform A7 outside Arrivals and your return trip can be booked in advance from your hotel, just ask us at reception. Parking around the hotel is unfortunately NOT free of charge! Between 9 am and 12pm you get charged € 3,40 per hour which is pretty steep. Tickets can be obtained from the Parking (P) pillars in the street.

Make sure your ticket is visible on your dashboard and don't forget to buy a ticket for early the next morning, if necessary. On Sundays parking around the hotel is pleasingly free of charge.
